AAE Fletch III Fletcher Review

AAE Fletch III Fletcher Review

I purchased the AAE Fletch III Fletcher from https://www.3riversarchery.com/. I don’t want to beat up on 3 Rivers Archery to bad, because they did eventually replace this first devise, but it took much longer than I would have liked. They had to make sure the manufacturer would honor the warrantee before they would send me a new one. I believe a seller should back their products and if a manufacture will not back it, then don’t sell it. But that seems to be a world we live in today.

When the package arrived I took it out and tried to follow the instructions. It came apart so hard I broke one of the legs off.

After this i read some reviews on amazon and seen that the post being tight was an issue. I managed to glue the leg back on and ran a drill through and epoxied a wire in to reinforce it. I then took the dremel to the guide to open them up so the pieces slide apart nicely.

After this tuning it works as expected. When in use, if using super glue type adhesive for fletching I keep everything that might come in contact with the glue on this unit well waxed. Using the fletching tape doesn’t require the wax, but it’s quite a bit more expensive.

This fletcher is relatively inexpensive and if you don’t mind the tuning part it works as expected. I don’t have anything to compare it to in inexpensive units, but I’d probably make my own if I had it to do over again.

I kind of like this one and it looks easy enough to make.
